Swax Lax Lacrosse was founded originally as Sum It Up for Girls in 2008 by Laura Gump, with the mission of encouraging K–8th grade girls to become more self-confident through the sport of lacrosse. As the program grew, it expanded to boys, and has since become a right of passage for young athletes. In 2024, after two years as Director, Shaun Rosenow took over Swax Lax Lacrosse as owner. With the same principles in place, she grew the program to meet the popularity, and expanded to Rumson NJ. The car magnets, tie-dye t-shirts, and picture frames serve as Swax memorabilia, providing enjoyment for the kids and a sense of nostalgia for the parents.
